Concept and goalThe GLES Tracking (formerly known as "Longterm Online Tracking") consists of repeated cross-sectional surveys, which have generally been conducted at regular intervals since 2009. The questionnaire contains core questions, module questions and questions on current events. Between 2009 and 2017, researchers were also able to implement their own questions as part of a Call for Questions. The GLES Tracking allows for the analysis of short-term changes. On the occasion of the state elections, additional surveys were conducted between 2009 and 2017.
